The Glencoe Room
Our ground-floor, dog-friendly bedroom perfect for travelling with dogs. The Glencoe Room is on the ground floor, making it ideal for early morning and late-night dog walks. It's a spacious, light-filled room with a king-size bed, walk-in closet, and views across the front field towards Ben Nevis.
The large en-suite has underfloor heating, a walk-in shower, and plenty of space to dry off after a rainy Highland walk. Ground-floor access also makes it ideal for guests with mobility needs.
The remaining four bedrooms are kept dog-free for guests with allergies so everyone in your group is comfortable.
Dog Walks From Highwinds
These walks all start directly from the lodge just open the door and go.
Blar Meanbh Woodland Walk
A hidden gem at the bottom of our road cross the bridge turn left and explore this magical woodland. Multiple routes through the forest, right from the door.
River Lochy Walk
Turn right from Highwinds along the road for about a mile to a gate leading down to the river. Highland cows and sheep along the way. Around 2 miles roundtrip.
Cruim Leacainn
The hill out the back of Highwinds. Fantastic views of Aonach Mor, Carn Mor Dearg, and Ben Nevis. Through fields and forest — no clear path, so a real adventure.
