Walks From Highwinds Lodge

The North Face of Ben Nevis offers some of the finest mountain days in Britain. Multiple route options from CMD Arete scrambling to the longer path alongside Allt a' Mhuilinn to the CIC hut.

Turn right from Highwinds along the windy road for approximately one mile to a gate on your left leading downward to the river. Highland Cows and sheep can be spotted along the track to the river.

This is the hill out the back of Highwinds, offering fantastic views of Aonach Mor, Carn Mor Dearg, and Ben Nevis. Route passes through fields and forest with a boggy final ascent. No clear established path.

At the bottom of our little road over the bridge is a really special forest to explore. It's off the beaten track. Multiple route options through this woodland area.
